Libraries and museums have been creating new digital collections to provide access to their wonderful collections. Here in the State of Washington there are several new or updated ways of viewing and sharing images, audio and video on the ever changing range of new mobile devices and in new formats.
Below are some of the new collections we should all check out again and consider how the League may provide similar services!

Washington State Historical Society
Museum of History and Industry which is one of University of Washington Digital Collections
Washington Rural Heritage – Digital collections of Washington State communities including Sedro Woolley, Clear Lake in Skagit County.
To search – Click the catalog search link, switch to the Advanced search option and limit your search by Digital Collections.
To browse – See the “Ebooks and more” tab for the Historical Photo Archive.
So far, the collection features Snohomish Historical Society, Everett Herald photos, Darrington, Edmonds and Langley.
Digital Public Library of America
Library of Congress Digital Collections: Photographs, newspapers, and oral histories
Digital Archives of Washington State : This collection keeps growing as more and more content is digitized from State Archive records.

The League of Snohomish County Heritage Organizations quarterly meeting
will be held
Friday morning June 13th at 10 am til about noon
The location is the Hibulb Cultural Center Library. (From I-5 take exit 199
Marine Drive NE in Marysville.
Go west approximately 0.5 miles, then turn left on 23rd Avenue NE
We will be deciding a date for the Malstrom Award Luncheon
and whether the Heritage Day should be held next year.
If you have items for the agenda let me know.
(I realize this happens to be right after the Everett Museum annual
meeting event and Margaret’s program. But please come if you can anyway.)
