The Malstrom Award Luncheon to celebrate historic preservation projects, programs and publications of 2015 will be Saturday, March 19th at noon once again at the Waltz Building.

Please join us for this great annual get together and program.

  • Noon:  Luncheon – Lasagna, Green Salad, French Bread and Dessert.
    The Luncheon will be $30;  Catered by Collectors Choice.
    Reservations and prepayment are required for the luncheon by March 14th (not the tour), please contact us.

  • 1:15 p.m   ~ Guest Speakers : Seattle Architectural Photographer Otto Greule and Snohomish History Writer Warner Blake

Program - J. S.White Story -The J. S. White Story – Snohomish Architect of the city’s many historic buildings.

Photographer Otto Greule will show and talk about the photographing of the historic architecture with a sample selection from his work in Snohomish since 2009.  Warner will provide the historical context and an overall explanation of the project to document J.S. White’s work in frontier Snohomish. And of course J.S. White has his own Facebook page!

After talk there will be a Guided Walking Tour of J. S. White’s 19th Century Snohomish with Warner Blake. It will include a mile long loop walk to view the structures photographed by Otto; plus, those not ready for “prime time!” Experience the town as J.S. White’s family did — on foot!
