Volunteer Opportunities
The League represents most of the Snohomish County heritage
organizations plus some in surrounding communities of King, Island and
Skagit counties. The League and its member organizations are operated primarily
by volunteers committed to various aspects of the preservation of history
of the area. Volunteers give tours, are docents, or produce exhibits; some
write articles or books, some collect and catalog artifacts, photographs,
and documents, some provide clerical & bookkeeping skills and some
serve on their organizations' Boards of Trustees. The League and its member
organizations need volunteers with a passion for helping to preserve and
interpret local history so future generations will grow up with a sense
of community identity in this age of explosive suburban growth.
